The Hippo that Keeps Time
The waterhole had one resident hippo, who would leave to graze around dawn and return, almost like clockwork, at 3.45. The times he arrived back at the waterhole (reaching the edge of the water) were 3.44, 3.45, 3.45 and 3.54 - late on the last day for some reason. The manager told us he was right on time every day. Leaving at dawn I understand - he's reacting to an environmental change, but what's with 3.45?!?
